Question about Delaware handgun laws...
My grandfather had a S&W 9mm. My grandmother wants to give it my aunt right away, she doesn't want it in the house.
Now, in PA going from a parent to child, child to parent, husband to wife, etc... you do NOT have to go through an FFL, no paperwork is needed to be done.
Problem is that this isn't in PA but in Delaware, as previously mentioned.
What is the proper process for doing this transfer between mother and daughter?

Re: Question about Delaware handgun laws...
Well, sort of. So DE doesn't require a background check for private sales of handguns?
Then further down it talks about giving a firearm to a person under 21 or 18 (which ever applies) and that it either has to be the parent or the person has to have the parent's permission.
So it sounds like it's just like PA plus a little where a friend or other family member can give someone a firearm and not need to do the background check or transfer stuff.
So I guess going by what I know of PA law that the Feds don't get involved in the transfer laws in states rights.
