Ellwood City's Illegal Ordinance
Well, the borough council doesn't like the mayor lawfully carrying his sidearm, so they passed an ordinance prohibiting firearms in municipal buildings, parks, etc. No, the mayor has not signed the ordinance.

This time, however, the NRA is involved.

Sounds like that council needs to be paid a visit by about 500-1000 armed citizens.

Viccari said the ordinance has nothing to do with forbidding residents from owning guns. He said council has a right to prohibit anyone other than police officers from carrying weapons onto borough-owned property.
What an idiot. The statute clearly prohibits ANY regulation on owning and transporting. The SC has upheld in Ortiz that legal (by state law) carrying is "transporting".
Viccari needs reading comprehension lessons.
