How long did it take you to get you ltcf in Philadelphia??
Once you submitted you application for your ltcf in Philadelphia how long did it take for you to get approved and receive your ltcf? I just turned 21 a few weeks ago and I’m getting ready to submit my paper work to the permit department, and I just want to know how long should I be expecting to wait.
(Another question) Say I had a Glock 27 and I did receive my ltcf, is it illegal to carry a spare magazine or even a hi capacity mag?
I really value your opinions and feedback so please help me out.
Thank You

40 days or so. Way too long IMO.

in PA, you can carry a Glock-whatever with a 33 round mag, plus 4 spare mags, openly or concealed, anywhere it's legal to carry. even in Philly. welcome to the forum.

Mine took about eight weeks each and every time I applied for one. It seems they are very "busy" in their gun permit unit. (that is what they call it)
You can carry any firearm that you like. You can carry one of these:
(That one is full auto by the way, and yes it is legal to carry if you have the tax stamp.)
If it works with your outfit.
There is no restrictions on what firearm you can carry with your License to Carry Firearms.Join the groups protecting your rights from the fools trying to take them from you!

Because the OP sounds like he's new at this, I think it should be clarified - you may not carry any weapon other than a "firearm" in a vehicle, even if you have an LTCF.
http://reference.pafoa.org/statutes/...than-firearms/
The above pic is of a "short barreled rifle", which is a firearm according to PA law, but most rifles and shotguns may not be carried loaded in a vehicle even if you have an LTCF.

You may however carry any "firearm" and as much ammunition as you like.

Re: How long did it take you to get you ltcf in Philadelphia??
I'm in Philly. From the day that I applied and had my interview to the day I got the letter in the mail saying I was approved was six weeks to the day. My notice came on a Friday afternoon, and I had my LTCF in my hot little hands on Monday morning.
Hearing the experience of others suggests that it could be up to 9 weeks to get an answer. I seem to have lucked out (as did, it seems, Biggs).
Good luck!
