EXPLODING GLOCK
I went down for a shoot at my local range after work tonight, So im setting up in my lane and I notice two younger guys shooting with R.O. They bought a shooters package…$115 for 50 shots on a 9mm Glock.
So there taking photos of each other holding the glock and I hear one say, man that gat is heaps phat ( we have gangbanger wannabes down here too). About 10 mins in to it, im reloading and I hear, bang..bang..soft bang..KABOOM
Im like WTF?...I see a whole mangled glock on floor and this wanker in shook holding his bleeding hand. Luckily glock makes good firearms and he just got a ride in ambulance with minor burns & cuts.
The police came asking questions and I said, I think it was an undercharged round and it got stuck in the barrel, then he fired. Also I heard the RO say “Oi STOP” before the kaboom but the dick was to busy trying to shoot like 50 cent.
Well that’s what you get, when act like a G-Unit wannabe

Re: EXPLODING GLOCK
Uh, I don't know...sounds like a kaBOOM resulting from use of recycled brass case ammo (forensic analysis will say for sure). Happens to a number of semiautomatics from time to time - which is why I use factory ammo - just like Glock says to.

Somebody stop me...
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Re: EXPLODING GLOCK
Nope , the " soft pop " in the string of shots as described , then the follow up shot that resulted in destruction is a textbook description of an underpowered load , the bullet getting lodged in the barrel and the follow up shot hitting the lodged bullet and/or the chamber becoming overpressurized.

Re: EXPLODING GLOCK
Sorry, you're right - didn't catch that last part, as I was inattentive. My bad, OP.
Most of the time when you hear about these kinds of things it's due to the usual reloaded brass problem. These are the exalted gharāniq, whose intercession is hoped for. LMAO

Re: EXPLODING GLOCK
Am I to understand that the range supplies re-loaded ammo to shoot out of their rented Glock? Sounds like a law suit waiting to happen. $115 for 50 shots ?!!? I've never rented a gun like that. Is that the going rate for shooting? 5 times and the gun is paid for, after that it's all profit. What a money maker.

Re: EXPLODING GLOCK
I was wondering what kind of ammunition the young gentlemen were
using being provided for by the establishment. If this was caused by
a "squibb load", was it a reloaded round, or factory. Since there was a
RO from the establishment, I wonder if there is a liability issue for the
bussiness, what sort of safety/range instructions were given to the
young inexperienced shooters.FUNDAMENTALS

A photo would have made this thread interesting. Instead, it's all conjecture that is mislabeled. The title should read; Junk Ammo Kills Another Gun, if it is as described.
You can never have enough horsepower or ammunition.

Re: EXPLODING GLOCK
Yeah thats how it goes overhere, 1 indoor pistol/rifle range (that you you can rent to shoot) in the whole state. You have other private (SSAA) ranges but non licenced public cant shoot there.
Oh your right too they make a shit load of cash, Those rent a shooters suckers think that ammo does cost that much lol and cop this, 10 rounds of 12g = $35 !!!!!!
