    Default First 1911 (Kimber)

    Hey guys,
Well I went to cabela's this weekend with no intention on getting a Gun (isn't is always this way??) I was only going to get a TLR-2 Light for my XD. anyways I am looking around and I see they have a Kimber Custom Covert II. I get an number and wait my turn and finally I have a look at it. Man it was nice so needless to say I am now the proud owner of a Kimber custom covert II. does anyone have any info on these? As I said before this is my first 1911, So Fill me in whats break in like? any suggestions on holsters? Did I do ok? they are not having lots of trouble with these are they? anyways hope I did the right thing. here is a picture.

Very nice my first was a Pro CDP 2 that I have had for 5 years. It's my every day carry piece. So far I only replaced the recoil spring with a factory, otherwise not a single problem. I broke it in with 100 rounds 230 gr FMJ and now use Remington Golden Saber 230 gr HP. Good luck and enjoy

Kimbers are tight. Keep the rails WET. It will bleed black ooze from the rear for the first 1000+
