Default Kimmel Center / Academy of Music

We're taking the girls to go see the Nutcracker closer toward Christmas at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. In checking previous posts it appears that there are no metal detectors at the entrance as recently as February of this year (2009). However, since I'm a cautious guy by nature, I have two questions:

    1. Has anyone been by there recently to confirm that they are still detectorless? If so, please advise.

    And more importantly,

    2. Since the Kimmel Center is affiliated w/ the Academy of Music, would this area fall under the "...in the buildings of, on the grounds of...." portion of the Possession of weapons on school property under Section 912 of the UFA?

From searching the internet, I haven't been able to find out who, exactly, owns the Kimmel Center. They have corporate, government and private sponsorship. But do they fall under the protection of "...secondary publicly-funded educational institution, any elementary or secondary private school licensed by the Department of Education or any elementary or secondary parochial school?"

Just because there aren't metal detectors doesn't mean I couldn't be facing an M1 charge.

Any and all info would be received thankfully.

To the best of my knowledge...that only refers to K-12 schools...

    However, with that said...

    From here

Kimmel Center, Inc., a charitable, not-for-profit organization, owns, manages, supports and maintains The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, which includes Verizon Hall, Perelman Theater, Innovation Studio and the Merck Arts Education Center. Kimmel Center, Inc. also manages the Academy of Music, owned by the Philadelphia Orchestra Association.
So they have nothing to do with any school anyway.

Much obliged. That appears to be what I was looking for.

    Thanks
