Re: Just finished an incredible day of training
Come early next year, that may be a possibility. I have a buddy who has gotten back into shooting (MadCat on here) and may be interested as well.

Re: Just finished an incredible day of training
I've been having a back channel exchange with my instructor, and he told me that the system is portable, and he will travel. There will be an added cost, but it might be easier for you folks to pony up a few extra bucks and have one person travel than to have to try and get eight people together over here. Just a thought for you all to consider...
Also, if anyone organizes a class of eight, then it is closed to others. I would be all for taking another session of this training, so perhaps we can do some talking after the holidays are over.

Re: Just finished an incredible day of training
I'd be interested in participating as well, especially if it occurs in the Pittsburgh area.

Re: Just finished an incredible day of training
I sent an email to them asking for more info. This is what I got. PAFOA training day??
Dear JIDinPhilly,
I attached the flyer for your reference and you can go to http://www.pafoa.org/ and type in Prisim in the search box - I know there are reviews on there.
The college bought this system a year ago because they (and I) believe that buying a gun, getting a permit, and shooting a box of ammo is not preparing a person adequately for a deadly force situation, whether they carry the gun or just have it at home/business in case they need it. There are so many issues related to using a weapon in a force situation - it doesn't do you any good to be a expert marksman or have the most potent pepper spray if you make the wrong decision and go to jail. This class allows for plenty of practice making decisions of using force, not using force, what level of force to use, etc. We do approx. 3 hrs of lecture and 5 hrs of scenarios.
Basically what this is is a large screen, computer, projector, and many "tools" used in force situations. We use real Glocks specially adapted with a laser, during a scenario you have to make a decision on what to do (or not to do). Afterwards we play it back to watch your movement, etc and we critique it. We only take 8 students per class to allow for max. time on the simulator, and they fill up pretty fast. If you can get 7 others I will schedule a private class for a date of our choosing. I can also take the system places but if that happens the college adds costs to break down/transport/set up.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

The class holds 8 people. Any interest in getting a PAFOA group together? I think this would be an awesome experience. Should I start a new thread to gauge interest?
