I'm with you, Granuale. I switched over to revolvers myself.

I can see novice shooters worrying about whether or not a safety was on, or if there was a round in the chamber - regardless if it had an external safety or not. Just something you don't need in a panic situation.

Does that make me less of a novice if I'm comfortable with the fact that I carry +1, safety off?

Might want to show this to people that argue that cops can protect you and you dont need a gun. Where were the cops?

Ive taken to carrying one myself, although its only a 5 shot and speedloaders dont work.

FabioCrow, a former resident here says +1 is stupid and more dangerous to yourself than it is useful. Unless you have a 1911 then its ok.
Look him on on youtube he's hilarious, in a sad sorta way.

Not to piss on this guys shoes. But from the video it apears he just panicked. I mean +1 or not, this video is grade A reason to seek and complete training.

Had a well trained person been in that situation, they may have leaped over the counter and been able to survive.
I do not want to sound like an asshole, just spittin out a thought. . .

That's just as dogmatic as saying C3 is never useful.

you don't have to carry a revolver in order to safely carry with a round chambered.

    seriously, though...you don't.

in fact, if you just make the trigger on a DAO (or even DA/SA) semi-auto as heavy as your DA revolver trigger, you have exactly the same thing from the standpoint of safely carrying it with a round chambered.

of course, you do not actually need the trigger to be that heavy to safely carry with a round chambered.

Maybe, or they may have been shot just as dead. No ammount of training can help in certian situations. Training may have helped the guy return fire but honestly I think he was just totally dicked.
