Default Online target competition - 9 shots for 9 targets - 10 yds handgun offhand - By Jan 5

Okay, well I missed the last online target competition with carry guns. So, I decided to start one. For this one, it does not have to be your carry gun, just any handgun that does not have optics or laser sights (well, it can have laser sights, just don't use em ), irons only. Here's the link for the target: targetz and here's a picture of it:

Using a handgun from 10 yards standing offhand (no rests, sandbags, etc.), one shot at each circle. Scoring is as follows (in spirit of the football season - GO EAGLES!!!): a hit in the white circle is 7 points and a hit in the black circle is 3 points. If two or more holes are in one circle, only the highest will count, the other(s) will be disqualified. If there are more than 9 holes in the paper, that submission will be disqualified. If a hole is on the border (ie. touching both the black and white circles), the higher score will be awarded. You may submit more than once if you shoot later and receive a better score. This will conclude in three weeks, so you have until Tuesday, January 5th, 2010 at 2359.

    Good luck and have fun!

EDIT: For submission, attach a photo of your target along with the gun and ammo you used.

loose≠lose; you're=you are; 'your' shows possession.

Just to be clear, that should be printed 8.5x11.
I could print it up to 24"x33". If I wasn't an honest upstanding person.

If a hole is on the border (ie. touching both the black and white circles), the higher score will be awarded.
I think we can agree that you get to be the judge on any inconclusive holes/tears.

What if there is a tie? It's conceiveable that more than one person could hit 9 center holes.

Prints okay directly from the pdf window in Firefox with Vista Home Premium.

    Any agreement on calibers here?

The way I read it "just any handgun that does not have optics" leaves it open to any caliber.

Hopefully people will keep it somewhat fair and not use:

I had thought about that, but that could push the competition to the superbowl. lol. Do we have that much of an attention span?

How about closest to center of the bullseye?

That would work if the shots weren't consistently right in the center. That might make it a matter of scanning.

What were we talking about again?

My thought was even if you have a few perfectly centered shots, no one's going to have 9. So if there's more than one, whoever has the most wins.

    Tie Breakers

I suppose instead of a tie breaker, there could just be more than one "winner", and the winners can split the trophy and/or prize money.
