    Agreed:

As of today, I have 10k rounds each of .223 and 9 MM, 3k of .45 ACP, and 3k of .22. Oh, and 5k brass .45ACP and 2k brass 9MM waiting to reload. Wow, I need to resupply!!!!!!!!!!

    Question Ammo shelf life?

A really dumb question which may be relavant to this above discussion: Is there a shelf life for ammo?

I mean, is it OK to shoot a 6 month old, or 6-year old, or 60-year old ammo? And how do you know how old the ammo that you are buying is?

Ammo goes bad really quick! If you have ammo thast over two weeks old, you need to send it to me ASAP for proper and safe disposal!!

Sriously though, ammo is safe indefinitely (within your lifetime) as long as it doesnt get wet/humid.

Then the only problem is that it just won't shoot.

I guess this should turn into a discussion on the best ways to store ammo for the long-term at some point. Let me add that I'm in no position to go first. I'm just looking to pick brains.
