Question about joining the NRA
Yes, flame away, but I am not a member. I was actually going to join today but I have a question.
Is there any reason not to join through a recruiter? You get a $10 discount if you go through a recruiter.
Just wondering if there is a down side.
Oh and which magazine do you guys like? Did anyone get 1st Freedom?Adams County Sport Handgunners Association - President

Re: Question about joining the NRA
I can't think of any reason to not join through a recruiter. I didn't but that was because there were no gun shows going on when I had the extra cash available. I also get America's First Freedom and find it to be a pretty decent magazine that is primarily focused on the political side of things. I've also gotten the others at one point or another, all of them are decent.

There are also coupons that you can get when you purchase certain items. I got one when I bought my HK. I get rifleman, which is just ok . But I am not a hunter so it was the only one that would work for me.

Re: Question about joining the NRA
I was looking at the EPL. I may opt to do that next year. I never really think about joining except when they advertise at the gun show, and of course I have other stuff to spend money on there.
I found an online recruiter, so I guess I'll go through that and sign up today.Adams County Sport Handgunners Association - President

Re: Question about joining the NRA
Hey djturnz,
When I joined last year online I just paid the full amount and I chose the American Rifleman magazine of which I enjoy very much. I especially like the "Armed Citizen" section and also the "OFFICIAL JOURNAL/SPECIAL REPORT written by the v.p. and president.

Re: Question about joining the NRA
I just recently learned that if you join/renew through the recruiter at our club, the club gets a little money for it's efforts.
Not sure of the details, but if I choose to renew, I'll do it that way.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!
