Glock 19 RTF (Rough Texture Frame) is Great
Just got a G19 RTF. I was wary of the sharp stipling on the grip, but I shot it at IDPA this weekend and didn't notice any bite at all. In fact, it provided a really good grip. I've been shooting Glocks since I got my first handgun, a G17, twenty years ago (my G17 is, I guess, first gen, doesn't even have the finger grooves or light rail). If you're looking for a new Glock, give the RTF a try.

Re: Glock 19 RTF (Rough Texture Frame) is Great
Thank you for the report!
My G17 is at least 20 years old...still a good shooter though.
Anyway, that recommendation about the G19 RTF was very good!Well, pushed 60 too hard so now I am the big SIX-OH. Now I can be a real pain in the ass! And, who says growin' old isn't fun!!

Re: Glock 19 RTF (Rough Texture Frame) is Great
I carried it all today (I use a Fobus paddle holster) and had no problems at all. An IWB band holster might be uncomfortable, though, with the sharp grip pushing into your side.

I'm waiting to see what the generation coming out shortly feels like before I consider another Glock. The RTF is a lot stickier feeling than the standard grip, though I'm not a fan of the different slides.
