    Default Handgun transfer

I am 18 years old, and a PA Army National Guard soldier. My dad bought me a 1911 .45 acp. Is there any way to have the gun transfered to my name before Im 21? If so, what would the benifits be?

    Thanks for your help.

It doesn't need to be transferred to your name. Your father can transfer it to you by giving it to you, no papers required.

For future reference, you probably should have posted this in the PA Law & Politics area.

Tell your dad to give you the gun, say thank you,,, and it's yours!

So long as your not a prohibited person.

Provided they are both PA residents.

I thought all handgun transfers in PA still had to go through an FFL.
