    Default kimber ultra-carry w/laser or ???

Recently fell in love w/the Kimber .45 Ultra carry with Laser-grip. Price tag too much for me at present (Gander Mtn $1200). Looking for recomendations for small-frame .45 or 9 with laser-grips.
also, can laser grips be added economically? or better to buy the gun with them at the start? I'll probably be going to the Bloomington, MN Gunshow on Dec 19th if locals are interested in selling; I have conceal/carry permit

CTC Laser Grips are in the neighborhood of $235 - $270. They are available for most handguns.

Are after-market laser-grips less than, eqaul to, or better than getting them at the same time factory-made with the gun? I realize answers may vary based on various factors (?)

I would imagine the quality is the same. I have a Kimber Pro Tac II in 9mm with CTC grips and simply love the system. I still do not understand why Kimber decided to checker the underside of the trigger guard but that is a different thread.

The CTC's that you install yourself are the same as those that come already installed. There is nothing to installing them yourself. Just take off the original grips and put on the laser grips (and battery).
