IDPA
Does anyone shoot IDPA at Hellertown Sportsman Association?
How is it compared to other matches in the area? Is it inside? Outside on the pistol or rifle range?

Re: IDPA
No, I have never shot there, but Ken Ortback (sp) seems to run it so it will be well done.

Thank you. I guess I'm going to have to go there and check it out for myself.

Re: IDPA
I shoot IDPA at Hellertown. The matches are indoors year around. We shoot USPSA style the first Tuesday of the month and IDPA the fourth Tuesday. When there are five Tuesdays in the month we shoot some other style ie Bug gun, revolver, pistol caliber carbine. There are five Tuesdays this month and we'll be shooting PPC (Police Pistol Combat). Matches go hammer down at 7pm. If you are not an IDPA member you will only be allowed to shoot one IDPA match until you join.

Re: IDPA
Do you guys have any tips on ammo besides reloading. Obviously ammo is very expensive...do you have any ideas for acquiring cheap bulk ammo?

Re: IDPA
What do you shoot? 9mm is probably the least expensive ammo, some people use Wolf with steel cases? I don't, I reload which is what nearly all non-wealthy serious shooters do.
If you want to shoot at anywhere near your potential you have to practice, a lot. Some should be dry fire and some drills are not very ammo intensive, but you still will need to shoot X-thousands of rounds a year to be competitive, (because you know "they" are). "They" are the guys who are beating you and X is how much you don't like to loose, fill in the blanks.
