Bucks Co. members, I need your help. UPDATE: Please see post #1
Reward! +Rep will be given for any assistance.
It has recently (like 5 minutes ago) come to my attention that some of the carry misinformation we all loathe may be coming from Sheriff Donnelly's office in Doylestown. Could anyone who applied for, and received, their LTCF in Doylestown please post their recollection of any verbal instructions given with their license? I would like to discuss any issues with Sheriff Donnelly. I need to know what people are being told. Thanks.
ETA:
I'm also interested in any accounts of incorrect information received at the Levittown, and Quakertown Government Services Centers.
ETA:
If anyone planning to apply for a LTCF in the near future at the Sheriff's Office in Bucks Co. would contact me via PM, or post in this thread, I'd appreciate it.
It appears that the misinformation is only being passed on verbally. Has anyone received any printed materials other than "The Book" from Bucks County? If so, I would very much like to see them.
If there are no printed materials, this case presents an interesting challenge.
The accounts of experiences posted thus far are highly inconsistent. One person hears (A), another hears (B), another is told nothing.
I need at least a couple of applicant volunteers. Five, or ten would be even better. I need some people who are willing to pay very close, and careful attention to what they are told when their LTCF is issued. I need the names of the people you talk to. I need to figure out who is saying what.
If necessary, I am willing to give up the two years of validity remaining on my LTCF, and reapply myself. However, that will only give me one experience, and there is no guarantee that I will receive these verbal instructions. I really need some help here, everyone. Does anyone have friends or family members who are going to apply? Can you recruit them?
I will reward all assistance with +rep. I know it doesn't mean anything, but it's all I have to offer.Last edited by unloved; December 5th, 2009 at 01:19 PM.

Its been 2 yrs since i got mine...at the Levittown satellite office...so dont remember them saying much of anything there.
But you can ask him why we have to wait a week...
And why we are charged $46 for the plastic card...when other counties still only charge $25 for the same card...Last edited by mrjam2jab; December 3rd, 2009 at 08:29 PM.

Re: Bucks Co. LTCF holders, I need your help.
I will be interesting if is coming directly from the Sheriff or the Deputy Sheriff's. I received mine from the Levittown Governmet Office and nothing was said to me.
The Deputy Sheriff's or front office people probably need some training, as it ultimately comes from the Sheriff. Let me know if you need any help when you go to Doylestown. ( I am there frequently at the Sheriff's office)"The more people I meet, the more I like my dog."
