Hunting. The Ritual

You wake up at 0430 pull on your 350.00 worth of premium hunting clothing. Grab your 1500.00 rifle topped with a 400.00 scope head to your 200.00 tree stand using your 300.00 GPS to take you where your 300.00 game camera proved to you the bucks are! You patiently glass your prime hunting land with your 250.00 bino's. Then you finally see it, that grey ghost! You grab your 200.00 Range finder and check the distance, YEP, within your range!

You get your buck, though not the one of your dreams but it will suffice! You load it on your 100.00 deer cart and back to the SUV you go. You load the deer on your 100.00 hitch haul and head to the butcher where you are charged 85.00!

When you get home your wife has prepared you a nice BLACK ANGUS T-Bone
for 25.00 and a 5 minute trip to the supermarket!

Or I an take my $400 rifle/scope combo, while wearing my clearance bought hunting clothes from 15 years ago, and sit on a rock, shoot a deer, drag it with my .35 peice of rope, put it in the bed of pickup and have a friend butcher it for nothing.

Or, I can go out to my 4-car heated garage, take out the Lexus SUV, head down my 2-lane asphalt driveway, through the iron gates, and down to the Whole Foods to get a cut of Certified Organic Tofu with bean sprouts, head back to the house listening to Air America, and checking the mailbox for my next inheritance/kickback/welfare/other taxpayer-funded payment along the way.
