Arisaka Type 99 Questions
I'm finally getting around to my great uncles Type 99 bring back.
After doing some reading I read that many G.I's had changed the calibers on there Arisakas. It had been turned into a deer rifle and I'm curious how to check what ammo I will need.
He is long passed away so I cant ask him.
Thanks in advance

Re: Arisaka Type 99 Questions
Take it to a gunsmith and have/ask him if he can do a chamber cast.
It is a casting of the chamber which can be then measured to see what caliber it is."Disperse you Rebels! Damn you! Throw down your Arms and Disperse!" British Major Pitcairn at Lexington April 19, 1775

Re: Arisaka Type 99 Questions
Thanks guys. I was hoping there was an easier way and it still is 7.7 jap.
But if it is 30.06 aleast the ammo is cheaper.
