The Phila Gun Permit Unit will not answer any questions about it on the phone so don't even bother trying to call. If you have time try just stopping in and tell them you didn't receive your letter yet, but you were in the area and just decided to stop in and check on it. Thats what I did on day 42. They had it right there and I walked out with it in 15 minutes. Just don't go in with a negative attitude. Yes, at times the PPD does like to try and make up it's own laws and regulations and at other times not follow the laws that are on the "books." But with all that said I can honestly tell you that I have not had a negative experiance with Philadelphia LEO's. In time you will also notice that most of the Philadelphia "bashing" comes from those not from Phila.

I would think they are not allowed to give out information on an LTCF application on the phone due to the anonymous nature of the LTCF process. They don't know if it is the applicant that is really calling...
