The problem is that the government wastes too much money. When they are done spending and wasting what they have, they tax us to get more. When they run out again, they tax something else. Its like if you have a credit card that someone else is paying on. You are going to keep spending, and if you do max it out, call and get the limit raised. Like more taxes. A tax on alcohol may not affect you if you don't drink, or another on cigs won't if you don't smoke, but they will tax something eventually that affects you.

when pa. puts a temp. tax on anything the only thing temp, about it is the starting rate. it will go up.

I do not think that drinkers and smokers are being taxed because of the choices they make (to drink and smoke). They are being taxed so the govt has more money to waste. Didn't I hear something about candy and soda next. It will be many more things in the near future. Maybe ammo and guns.
