Rifle Range that Allows Prone, Sitting and Standing Positions near SE PA?
I'm looking for a rifle range that allows one to shoot from the prone, sitting and standing positions (so I can practice for Appleseed) and that isn't more than say an hour from Norristown.
Any ideas? Thanks!

I'm looking for something similar. I recently got a 22 rifle that I want to practice with, but targetmaster is too small with no benches and DCF&S is too expensive to join right now for me.

Are you looking for a club or just occasional day shooting?
Langhorn Rod and Gun Cub (http://www.langhornerodandgunclub.org) is one of the more active clubs around with various CMP, Appleseed, Practical Rifle, and Precision Rifle shoots.
For walk-in day shooting, the only one that I know of (besides the PAGC ranges) is Wicens (http://www.wicenshootingrange.com/)
Youl have to contact them directly to confirm if all positions are allowed and under what circumstances.Keep perspective, recognize the good in your enemies and the bad in your friends.

JD I'm looking for either. At Wicen's you can only shoot a rifle from the bench. That's not a complaint, I completely understand why.
Langhorne ... of course. D'oh. Thanks!

Wic is really the only one around that you can just go & shoot when you feel like it/get a chance?
