Default Taurus Judge, 6 1/2 inch barrel, 2 1/2 inch cylinder

Well... I pulled the trigger, so to speak, on a new Judge. It's the model with a 2 1/2 inch cylinder and 6 1/2 inch barrel. This is my first revolver.

I haven't shot it yet and probably won't have time until next week. I'll get more pics taken then too.

So I haven't taken anymore pictures yet but I did shoot the 000 shotshells today.

Wo0t! That was fun. Here's 5 shots from about 25 to 30 feet.

I am thinking of getting the public defender model of the Judge. 2.5 cylinder and 2 inch barrel (i think its 2 inch). Might actually be able to cc this one. Anyone know if the 45 LC rounds are accurate out of this gun? I mean the barrel is rifled, so I assume it would be fairly accurate. I see Speer makes 250 gr Gold Dots for the 45 LC. What an awesome PD gun, 000 buck and 250 HP coming at ya!!

I have a Judge 3 inch barrel. My dad has the 6 1/2 inch barrel. I have shot the hornady lever acton pistol load I think 225 grain. My dad has 250 grain cowboy action loads to plink with. So far we get much better results with the 000 buck. the long colt in mine go all over. Alittle better in dad's due to longer barrel but can not get to far away. we got mine for in the home. The 000 buck will work fine and not go through to many walls They are just fun to shoot. After practice with the 9mm and the 45, we get out the judges just for fun. My wife was having so much fun the one day she shot all of the Ammo and forgot to leave some for home defense.

It took me 6 5 months to find even one box of Gold Dot ammo in 45 Colt.

I have shot some 200 and 250 grain cowboy loads and they were pretty darn accurate. I was impressed.

For some reason I shoot it a little high. I think it's because of the fiber optic front sight. In order to hit at point of aim you do not center the fiber optic dot between the groove of the rear sight.

    Anyway... I like it.
