    Default The Steelers

Here's a loaded question! What do you guys think of the Steelers this year? Camp Tomlin just started Monday at St. Vincent in Latrobe...I still have no opinions yet, but I'd like to hear what you Steeler fans think after a disappointing last year!

I don't know if we'll be better than 8-8 this season but I do know he's gonna lit a fire under the players and demand their best. I think Cowher was spent after the super bowl win. He'd completed his goal and wanted a break.

I have liked everything I've seen and heard from Tomlin. Coach T has my support.

Looooooooong time Steeler fan here. I watched the "Immaculate Reception" live on tv.

No opinion yet as to how they will do. I guess we'll have to see how their pre-season games go.

My son's girlfriend bought him tickets for the Browns/Steelers Game on Nov 11th for his 21st birthday. I'm trying to talk him into leaving her home and taking me instead.

I don't think its going to work though

My whole family are long time fans! If Big Ben can get into the groove this year, maybe they will have a chance...otherwise, I foresee an average season.

I have to say that I will miss Cowher as a coach in the NFL. I liked his no nonsense approach and his determination, you can't find that with other coaches they all seem to take it easy on the players and side with the owners. I enjoyed seeing him win the super bowl because he deserved it and earned it.

For the first time in 15 years the Steelers have a new offensive playbook.
I think Willie Parker is gonna have a huge year. Ben will go back to his consistant self.
I doubt the steelers finish worse than 8-8.

Simplifying the playbook is a great move. From what I heard there were about 700 plays in the one before. I read that Cowher had just kept Noll's playbook and expanded upon it.

KISS :: keep it simple stupid. It works in football.

I'm looking forward to seeing the defensive schemes. Kiesel is gonna have a great year. I can just feel it.

I think that they need the so called "trick" plays and to keep things spicy. I agree KISS but still they add spice and variety. That and other teams dont expect them. I think we will be at least an 8-8 team, but hopefully they do better. I just hope BIG BEN gets his rthym back. I also hope Troy has a great year. I miss those interceptions.

They'll do good. Tomlin is pushing them in training camp, making sure they'll perform their best. New playbook will keep the current set of players in mind, Ben isn't comming off of a horrible accident/appendectomy/concussion, Troy isn't jacked up anymore (well...hes still got the hair ). IF ben is really back together this year, we'll do damn good. If not...we'll still do half decent. Lots of good players, I got a good feeling about this year!
