    Default New Member here-SE PA!

    Hello all, new member here.

I am looking for a decent shop with decent prices in the Downingtown/Exton, Chester County area.

TargetMaster is out. French Crook Outfitters is out. The Sportsmans Shop is out.

    Any other suggestions?

I am shopping for a Glock 26. I have read several positive posts about Warwick Firearms. I would rather give my money to a small guy with a real interest in staying afloat.

Any help, suggestions, advice is appreciated. Thank you.

Welcome aboard, don't know about those areas but my first choice is Tanners sporting goods in Jamison for best prices, another in Feasterville is Surplus City, also Target Master in Delaware county, not close I know but Tanners is worth the drive.

I find Buds has cheaper prices more times than shops...then you'd just need to find someone to have it shipped to that is cheap and reliable. I use a guy in Aston that is $25, but Aston would be a hike from your area.

Kerpers in Narvon is usually a bit less than the Sportsman Shop. It's off the beaten path but has a nice selection of used guns. Village Arms in Gap has a good supply of ammo and reloading supplies but I've never priced their guns. Both are small gun shops and may be worth checking out. Let me know if you need more info.

I have done a transfer at Kerpers. The gal running the shop knows her stuff and is a no BS kind of person. I don't remember the stock of new guns, but I recall a whole bunch of used guns at really decent prices.

When buying from a place like Buds-do you just order through them and have them ship to a place like Kerpers? I assume that Bud's list price doesn't include shipping. I would have to figure shipping, transfer and tax(??) to the price to see if it is worth it?

Is that about correct? Does it really save anything when you factor those things in?

    Thanks all for the help!

    Welcome to the forum!!

How about Gordons up on 100 in Eagle?

I used to shop at their Broomall Store when they had it. Always seemed like a good family business!

    They are hot and cold.

I have bought from them before. They have a really small stock. I tried to do a transfer 2 or 3 years ago and the one Dude basically told me to beat it. That was my first attempt at buying online and it soured me!

I was just up at Target Master last saturday. I was there with a friend, using the range. They seem pretty decent. A friend of mine lives near there and I got him into shooting this summer. He has bought 3 firearms from them already! The prices seem fair. I actually got a e-mail quote from them that was decent. But, they are like an hour and 15 minutes from me.

Would you drive to Millers in Linwood?

I have had great pricing deals there, and he gives discounts for cash!
