Re: indoor ranges in the Pittsburgh area
the only one i know of that is open to the public is anthony arms. it can get quite expensive shooting there, though, as they force you to buy their overpriced ammo (or at least that was my experience many moons ago...things may have changed).
if you are looking to join a club, PMSC (www.pmsconline.com) has a nice indoor pistol range available to members.
PMSC also offers 13 IPSC bays...and once roland recovers that will likely be 15 or 20 in no time as he seems to enjoy excavating , a nice rifle range, trap/skeet ranges, etc.
there are also other clubs around that have indoor ranges for their members. i think coraopolis does, and i'm sure there are others.F*S=k

me and my buddies got out to A&S in Youngwood (right outside of Greensburg) they have decent prices, let you use your own ammo, and good people working there.

Re: indoor ranges in the Pittsburgh area
I second A&S. Its a little bit of a drive from Pittsburgh, but they have a nice range and reasonable prices. You can rent pistols to try out there as well. The staff seems very knowledgeable. You have to buy their targets, but the most expensive one is $1.50, and the range time of course. They have a monthly membership available, or just buy time by the hour/half hour.

A&S indoor pistol range does all my FFL transfers, shipping etc etc. They are worth their weight in gold. The fact that they are about 600yards away from me helps a lot too.
Like mentioned, they have guns to try before you buy. Really a good range that also gives you the opportunity to shoot 9mm carbines as well.
Never knew that but Todd (the owner) told me.
Can't go wrong with these guys. You can only get smarter by playing a smarter opponent

I have to vote for A&S as well. Todd and Jen are great.
A&S Indoor Pistol Range is located on Overhead Bridge Road, Youngwood.
Youngwood is not as far as you think, if you take the turnpike to New Stanton. It's only a couple minutes from the exit.

Re: indoor ranges in the Pittsburgh area
Not sure of the cost to shoot at these "pay per visit" ranges, but a PMSC membership is only $60 a year. You can shoot from 9AM-9PM close to 365 days a year on the indoor and outdoor ranges. The indoor range has electric target runners so you can adjust your distance up to 25 yards. It's heated and ventilated and clean! You can load you mags up, draw from a holster, and rapid fire. There is no additional fee's for outdoor shooting, but there is a nominal fee ($5) each time you use the indoor range (to help cover maintenance of said range). You need to go through range orientation to get your own key. Unfortunately, there are no guests permitted, so if you want to shoot with a buddy he will also need to join PMSC to.

Re: indoor ranges in the Pittsburgh area
I second Allegheny Country in Millvale. The annual fee is $85.00 but there are no longer any additional fees for using the indoor range(s). In addition to the varity of ranges, both indoor and outdoor, there are also plenty of leagues and events also included.
Check it out.
