REAL Customer Service or Flirting? Or was it the OC?
Time for some new shoes. I went to the Grove City Outlets to shop around. It was nice yesterday, so I had jeans and a gray T-shirt...and my Stoeger Cougar in full view on the right side.
Store one: some great deals but no shoe that fit right; helpful staff; loud music - blah
Store two: few good deals; staff was talking to his friend
Store three: higher prices; great staff; oldies playing quietly on the speakers - bingo!
At store three, I was about the only one in the store - there was no way they didn't notice my OC. One lady (appeared about my age) helped out quite a bit. She was quite prompt on getting each and every shoebox. She made small chatter as I searched for the right shoe.
After I found the right shoe, I went to the register and paid. She handed back my card and said "There you go, darlin'." Who says that anymore, except 50+ year-old waitresses? She put the shoebox in a bag and said something to the effect of "I hope to see you again soon." I'm used to "Thank you...come again!" but this was...different. Besides, what guys buy shoes "soon"? Guys buy a pair and wear them for years until they fall off the feet in shreds.
Now, I've been married for fifteen years, so my Spidey sense is a bit rusty. I have lost 30 pounds, so I definitely look a lot sexier than I did six months ago...lol. In retrospect, it sure did seem like flirting, but I was waaaay too blind to see it!
Also, customer service sucks so badly these days, that maybe I forgot how it used to be. I barely remember the days when cashiers could count back change and actually thanked you for giving them a reason to be employed. Today, most cashiers seem bothered that you interrupted them while texting. Grrrr.
Or maybe it's true that chicks just dig OC...Last edited by Paradigm; November 18th, 2009 at 03:46 PM.

women LOVE flirting with married men. I knew a guy in college that looked older, he had a plain wedding ring he wore when going to the bars. It worked quite well for him.

Which store was it? I've purchased a few pairs of shoes from Factory Brand Shoes in the Grove City Outlets and I've been pleased with them. I haven't really checked out any of the other shoe stores there.

FBS was store #2. Very cluttered. Poor service.
Adidas was store #1, Merrill was store #3.
Oh, I forgot to add that no one ran away screaming, the police didn't bring their black helicopters, and my handgun didn't jump out of its holster and shoot 23 innocent children.Nine out of ten moderators approve of this post!
