All matching Type 56 with a CAI import stamp. Bought this at the Monroeville show. I don't know why, but the seller told me it was a "field pickup" from Vietnam. Apparently, the soldier felt compelled to place import marks on his "field pickup". Not sure why the seller felt the need to B.S. me as I was already going to buy it. Oh well, it's a nice rifle. Has a Soviet marked rear sight. I can't remember what year the serial number places the rifle in, but I do know it's an earlier year.

It's nice to see a matching Chinese SKS in reasonable shape.

I'd say with a 2.3million serial number it's probably late 1956 to middle 1957.

And the guy selling it must have been the same turd that told me a Mosin he had was a bringback even after I pointed out the import mark...
