I abhor dog fighting, but he ain't guilty yet so I don't see how can they justify doling out punishment.

I hope they kick him out of the league and he never gets to play pro football again.
And I hope he's prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Ignorant asshole.

Re: vick ordered to stay away from training camp
I live south of Atlanta and this is big news around these parts. I agree that a person is innocent until proven guilty, ala duke lacross, but he has a few strikes against him already. Usually where there is smoke there is fire. A little incident with a water bottle and a false compartment in the Airport don't help his case either. The NFL is trying to protect its' image, these types of incidents don't help.
Perhaps if he was more concerned with playing professional football he wouldn't own a house where they were fighting dogs and burying their bodies, or testing the security of the airports with H2O bottles with false compartments and green leafy substances inside.

I think it is completely within the NFL and the Falcons power to tell him to stay home.
Someone else mentions Teachers, but Police also get suspended with pay during an investigation, no? Why shouldnt they be able to suspend Vick then.?

Re: vick ordered to stay away from training camp
I'm a proud pit owner. IMHO, anyone with 55 pit bulls and dog fighting "paraphernalia" is guilty hands down in my book. however he hasn't been proven so yet...but when they do find that he IS guilty of dogfighting, the punishment should fit the crime. How would he feel being drowned, hung, shot, and "bait" like the tourture he ("allegedly") put those dogs through, he should find out. Dogs are not disposable money makers.
ETA: btw, yes he should be kicked out of the nfl and training camp.Last edited by blueeyedbyrd; July 25th, 2007 at 11:46 AM.

People like him are the reason I stopped watching pro sports a long, long time ago.
