Re: Prescription drugs and carry
I don't think the foreign language translation program is working too well.
I take a daily prescribed med that doesn't stop me from carrying. As long as the med(s) you're on don't affect your ability to function properly in day-to-day life, I don't see a problem with being a responsible gun owner and carrier. Now, that's just my opinion...what state laws say about it, I have no idea.Kimber Pro Crimson Carry II .45 ACP, Taurus PT111 Millennium Pro 9mm

Can't speak for PA but I know from my time as a police officer in Georgia that carrying any prescribed medication not in its original container was a felony...now, common sense was usually applied here but thats not what the law stated. I'm quite sure its illegal in PA was well...just keep on looking.

Re: Prescription drugs and carry
Depends on the med. Scheduled drugs aren't supposed to be away from their mommies. Most maintenance drugs, on the other hand...
I don't think you'll find a pharmacy label on any bottle of insulin or syringe that I'm carrying with me; or on any of the little silver nitro tablet bottles that angina sufferers carry.
I take scads of meds (not happy about it, but I'm alive). Every Saturday night or Sunday morning, the daily dosage container gets its AM and PM compartments filled, it goes into my go bag, and the already filled one in the go bag comes out for use this week. I never know when that phone is going to ring...
If that is illegal, I think I'd demand a jury trial."...a REPUBLIC, if you can keep it."

Re: Prescription drugs and carry
I hope this post continues until a definitive answer is found. Granted most LEO would not take exception to an older guy with his pill container. But there are always the ones out to make a name for themselves at your expense. And as mentioned above. DA,s and some LEO will stack charges. It sucks that you must walk on egg shells to protect, your right to a LTCF.

Hornady wrapped it up in a nut shell. The senior citizen bus to Atlantic City would be hell on wheels. Could you imagine the pills on that bus in everything from pill containers to sucrets tins. A knotted baggie with thirty Oxycontin, fifteen morphine sulphates, some xanax, some Vicodins thrown in for good measure are going to cause someone problems. MAYBE. There is a section in Act 64 that relates to proper labeling, but I believe it is more targeted to pharmacies, manufacturers etc.....I will find it later and post it up. I don't think the OP has anything to worry about.
