There simply is near zero "controversy" in OC. People just don't believe that until they do it and see for themselves.

People simply don't panic or freak when they see someone carrying a firearm in a normal manner.
Just like any other tool, if you are confident while carrying it, and have the attitude that there's nothing out of the ordinary going on, most people don't question it or even give it a second thought.

OK, I understand. I read 'transport' in the post you answered and thought about the hunters living in Phila, they have to get their guns to the woods somehow...

Hmm...somehow I think If I went walking into Sheetz with my AR-15 on a one point sling to get a coffee I might be getting some police interaction?

In my part of the Commonwealth, you get funny looks if you're NOT carrying . . .

Only thing I can add is pay attention to your handling fundamentals.

We once had some New Yorkers, who were allegedly turkey hunting, walking around town with their fingers in their trigger guards and the worst muzzle discipline I've seen since Afghanistan. They were encountered, given a brief handling overview and sent on their way.

I did it at the Trader Joe's on the Main Line (hugely liberal area) and had no problems.
