Unusual sight to see
For me anyway. I woke up and looked out across the field to see a white dot in the treeline.

Very cool!
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Beautiful bird. I saw 3 in Indiana County PA about 2 yrs ago. I was at an Indian ceremony, educational thing with arts / crafts for sale and just happened they were circling above and 15 minutes later had moved out of the horizon. They did a bunch of different dances, ritual things, discussed history of local tribes. Pretty interesting afternoon.

It's been there for quite a while now. They had a nesting pair at Woodcock Creek Lake just a few miles from here. It would be interesting if another one showed up and they stuck around here.

Re: Unusual sight to see
The last time I saw one in the wild I was in Annapolis MD. I saw a big bird shaped shadow on the ground & looked up expecting to see a vulture... to my pleasant surprise there was that majestic white head! Beautiful birds!
I volunteered for several years with a wildlife rehabber who specialized in raptors. We only ever got one bald eagle in for rehab while I was there, & it was the only one that rehabber had ever gotten to date.
We have some nesting on the Susquehanna River not too far from where I live. I've also seen Osprey flying along the Codorus Creek during migration.Let us never forget the sacrifice of those who have fought for us all.

we saw one opening day of bass at Hunters Lake, a bald eagle was chasing an osprey. Awesome to watch

Re: Unusual sight to see
We have apair around lake redman in york. Mostly tou see them in the mornings around a large pin tree out on a point. I guess I will now have to take some photos.
The best view I ever had was on the potomac river when an eagle and osprey got into a fight directly overhead. I heard a noise looked up and saw the two locked up. They came apart about 40 ft overhead and went separate ways at that point.
