    Default Dauphin County Kidnapping.

    Police Investigate Carjacking, Kidnapping
Victim Forced To Drive To Philadelphia, Withdraw Cash

DERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Derry Township police are investigating a carjacking and kidnapping.

A 34-year-old man reported being flagged down on Middletown Road on Sunday by a man who said his friend was having a heart attack in a car alongside the road.

When the victim agreed to help, the man pulled out a gun, and forced the victim to use his car to drive him to Philadelphia and New Jersey.

The victim said he was also ordered to retrieve cash from an ATM before being released several hours later near the Delaware Memorial Bridge.

Police are still looking for the victim's car, which is a 2000 red Ford Focus with the license plate FRM 9126.

Well thats one reason I don't stop when getting flagged down. If I do, I make pretty damn sure to have something ready. I cant believe this person was forced to ATM's. I would have made a point to go indoors to one. "sure come in with me". Suspects day would have went to shit right after getting out of the car.

Edit: I thought I was posting this in the lounge, but didn't. Sorry.

dang. peteg really nails it when setting up scenarios in tactics II.

this is the second situation posted in the last couple weeks that exactly mirrored a scenario from that class.

the first one actually turned out to not be a robbery.

it was about a guy who was about out of gas and couldn't find his wallet and asked some PAFOAer (i think it was adymond) if he would give him a couple bucks or pump a few bucks of gas into his car.

exact same setup as a scenario in tactics II, except in tactics II it ended up being a robbery. in the real case, it really was just a guy who lost/forgot his wallet.

The tragedy is that in addition to you, only three other students were enrolled in that course.
