[Review] Paranormal Activity
O.....M....G.....
My daughter has been begging me to take her to see this movie since it was released. I read up on it and honestly I did not have high expectations. It's made by a couple of amateurs on a $20k budget with a single camera in their own home.
Anyway... I took her and her best friend to see it tonight.
This movie creeped me right the hell out. I've seen lots of "scary" movies in my life but nothing quite like this.
If you enjoy a good scare then this is the movie for you. It's not gory or graphic. The worst thing and main reason for the R rating is the foul language.
I give this movie a solid 4 to 4.5 out of 5. Go see it while you still can.Μολὼν λάβε

Re: [Review] Paranormal Activity
That's a +1 for me.
I slept with the light on when I got back from the theater the night I saw it.
It's incredibly suspenseful and just builds and builds and builds through the whole movie.
I did not like the theatrical ending though, I think it ruined the whole dynamic of the movie.
I have a copy of the DVD screener with the original ending and It's waaaaayy creepier.

I have to disagree. I thought it sucked beyond belief.
20 grand on that??? Was the cost of the house included in the budget?Every man is my superior in that I may learn from him.

I would have liked a story behind the partially burnt photograph. That wasn't explored in the plot.
Whenever that "sound" would start I'd get chills up my back and down my arms. Damn... just thinking about it right now gave me a shiver.Μολὼν λάβε

Re: [Review] Paranormal Activity
I have it on DVD if anyone lives close by and wants it It is a real version of it but someone told me that the ending in the version I gave them ended a bit different from the one they saw in the movies. I liked it , I am one of those people that really likes things involving anything paranormal.
ETA : Black I think you and I have the same versions .....my friend said my version is the one they should have used.
