Default Would banning firearms reduce murder and suicide?

New study by Kates and Mauser here:

    http://www.law.harvard.edu/students/...useronline.pdf - - fixed link

Their conclusion is no, it wouldn't. Also look at the data for areas with high gun ownership enjoy very low crime rates and area with criminal empowerment zones (gun free zones) have lots of crime. Try explaining that to Philly Reps some time or better yet have them explain how come it works differentily only in Philly.

The problem is that the study was done by persons using logic. Philly and Pittsburgh anti-gun dems have no idea what logical debate is. To them, guns are the one and only cause to inner-city violence.

They don't even consider the other factors...

    Out-of wedlock birth explosion
Lack of morales taught by parents
    Welfare/entitlement system
    Revolving door of justice
    Dave G.

"Gun control has not worked in D.C. The only people who have guns are criminals. We have the strictest gun laws in the nation and one of the highest murder rates. It's quicker to pull your Smith & Wesson than to dial 911 if you're being robbed."

It isn't the guns. It is the moral fabric of the people that have no second thoughts of pulling the trigger on another human being.

The gun grabbers know the same things that the rest of us know. Their political agenda prevents them from admitting it publicly.

Getting rid of all the guns will only force them to find other weapons on each other.

They will resort to clubbing each other to death or chopping off body parts with machetes.
