Question 9 mm 147 gr reload question

Can anyone tell me if it would be alright to fire a 9mm 147gr reload through my XD9 subcompact or my Glock 17? A friend just gave us some, but I'm afraid to try them out.

I know that some of Glocks and XD's have issues with SWC (semi wad cutter) lead bullets. Not sure what your 147 reloads are, but if it has a flat point...you might have some issues in both pistols.

Yes, Aubie, they are flat point. What issues might I deal with, if you don't mind me asking? I trust your opinion.

glock does not recommend lead or reloaded ammunition. fire at your own risk.

Generally, the issue that most automatics have with flat-nosed ammo (and some JHP with wide noses) are feeding problems. The bullet doesn't ride up the feed ramp as smoothly wiithout a round nose.
Some guns are more sensitive to it than others.
