Cracked LMT Bolt Carrier
This has about 600 rounds to its credit. I think this may be due to a malfunctioing extractor that jammed and required that the BCG be hammered out of the upper several times. The extractor was ass end up over the spring and wedged the whole thing inside the carrier and thus the carrier inside the upper.
Here are the pics:

Re: Cracked LMT Bolt Carrier
Good shots, bad experience.
This is why, no matter who makes it, it is always good to have a spare bolt and BCG.

Re: Cracked LMT Bolt Carrier
I sent back the defective one a while ago but it appears that the damage was already done, the best I can describe it is that the end that sits over the springs was conspicuously protruding up from the plane of the bolt.
I have contacted them, this was the response (I also asked if the "issues" with the MIM gas keys had been resolved to see if my replacement might have it):"Return the carrier and reference rga XXXX on the return. What problems with gas keys are you referring to? I don’t know of any."How pissed are you gonna be if you die before the Zombie Apocalypse comes? - - IANAL
