Default Re: Beretta 92 or Sig 226?

By most account the Sig is a better pistol some say even more accurate. It cost a little more, its a little smaller and some think that its worth it. I like the Sig 226/229s but I own mostly Berettas, Glocks and 1911s. I own a airsoft 226 (as I do for all the guns in my collection) and it is a nice training tool but I know the operation of the guns in my collection, I could operate them in the pit darkness the Sig would require retraining.

I just pasted up a real good deal on a new design Ruger 9mm because the mag release is slightly different to operate, and it was a great deal.

Sigs are great guns but I just don't want to retrain or spend the money.

It's really unnoticable on my B92. The barrel moves straight back and forward. No rotation.

I dont really see how this is even a comparison. You're talking about a $600 vs $850 gun.

Sig 226 is the best combat 9mm you can buy. Havent really heard too many people dispute that. Sigs are known to be the most accurate guns you can buy out of the box, obviously not including competition pistols.

Not to mention the 92/M9 has some notorious problems back in the day, tho they have been corrected supposedly.

That being said, I'd take either of them in a heart beat, but the Sig beats all.
