Story about AR15's on NBC Nightly News Tonight

There is going to be a story about the popularity of AR15's on NBC's Nightly News tonight (Thurs. 19JUL07) It is supossed to feature Stag Arms factory also.

I hope they don't make it into an antigun fluff piece, but with NBC (Nothing But Crap) who knows! I think it comes on at 6:30 pm est...after your local news.

Just saw the preview of the slot, it looked like an end-story but the preview wasn't sensational at all.

Not bad at all. They at least did a little homework like "Black Rifle" but did tie it to "Assault Weapon" wrongly. But I didn't think there was anything negative about it.

I just saw it, and i think it was generally positive. They did have an anit whinning, but a chick in a pink shirt was given more air time, showed her shooting at Bianchi targets and a gong.

There was no point. The pros and cons were fairly useless.

They called them "black rifles." Quite unprofessional and uninforming. They didn't really even talk about the guns, just mentioned a lady and her gun and a couple nutjobs.

You guys expected a purely pro-gun piece? C'mon, be serious. When it comes to the media, the *best* you should ever hope for is both sides of a story or at least opposing views. That's what this was, not purely negative but not purely positive.


/Seems like people are more interested in stories they agree with than any sort of critical analysis.
