Default In the classified rules, a new rule should be...

If WTS or WTB holsters STATE WHETHER LEFT OR RIGHT HANDED!!!

(or ambi, I guess, as in a pocket holster)

No end of frustration for lefty shooters - and there are many!

shouldn't be a rule... its common sense, like stating the gun it takes, the material its made of, etc.

if we made rules to cover all stupid behavior, nobody could post here

agreed. I'm a left handed shooter myself, but I don't think it should be a rule.

as most people are right handed I would just assume a holster listed is for a righty unless otherwise stated.

I recently shot left handed. It felt awkward. I wonder why anyone would do that if they had a properly functioning right hand.

tats the point, to be able to do it when you DONT have a properly working strong hand.

you do realize, according to a FBI firefight report i read that the most common injury is to the firing hand... people seem to focus on the weapon not the body.

Well, to put the jokes aside, that was the entire point of me shooting with my support hand. It doesn't matter if one is left or right handed. Getting rid of that awkward feeling "with the other hand" is what I'm going to try in the future, so that one time experience will hopefully turn into something I'm used to.

As an interesting side note, as awkward as it felt to shoot with my support hand, the results were no worse than with my strong side. I can't write or draw anything recognizable at all with my left hand. I deduce from that that hitting your target with a handgun at short distance (<10 yards) does not depend much on fine motorics but much more on general gun handling skills like sight picture acquisition and such.
