    Default Browning Buckmark

I recently purchased a Browning Buckmark pistol. It shoots great, tight groups, but I am experiencing jams with the last bullet in the mag. It doesn't matter if you load 10, 8 or 5 cartridges, the last one feeds high and jams. I am using CCI mini mags. Has anyone experienced this problem? I called Browning and they feel it could be a bad mag angle or possibly the mag insert depth. I find this hard to comprehend being all the other cartridges feed and fire perfectly.

Have you tried a different mag?

sounds like a mag issue to me.

Browning might be right , but try a different mag and for that matter some standard ammo,

I used to get this problem on my CZ452, a .22LR rifle. The problem in my case turned out to be a Known Issue with the magazine follower (the plate that the bullets push down as you load the magazine). That experience, though with another manufacturer altogether, lends credence to what Browning is telling you. I would try another magazine, but I would also try different ammo with the magazine you're having problems with. If you just bought the pistol, it should be no big deal to get Browning to replace the magazine under warrantee should it turn out to be bad.

Thanks to all. I received a new mag today and had no issues with the CCI Mini Mags. I tried some standard Remington 22 LR and still had the same issue with the last cartridge misfeeding. I will call Browning tomorrow and get authorization to return the original mag.

A lot of .22 semis are ammo sensitive especially new with standard velocity, Federal was the worst in my experiance. Stay with 40gr HV for a few hundred rounds, and run the pistol on the wet side-it'll smooth out.

It's probably the ammo. My BM Standard decided a while back to go from shooting everything to regular jams with lead 40gr SV rounds. Seems to do coated rounds such as the Federal Value pack (36gr hp, hv) well.

I had a few problems with mini mags but have been using different ammo like federal bulk, remmy thunderbolts, win wildcats and federal champion which have all worked well.

Just picked up mine the other day, will hit the range on Friday and let you know.

updated: went to the range yesterday and had no issues with American Eagle 22 ammo. Gun is a joy to shoot and very accurate.
