WANT TO WIN A HOUSE FOR $50!!??

So heres the deal...

I have had my house up for sale in Philly, but due to the economy and difficulties in people being able to get a loan nowadays, I have come up with an idea.

I am going to raffle off my house for $50 a ticket!!

The house is located in a decent area of Philly, northwood section.
It needs a little work, mostly a kitchen and some paint etc.. It's liveable but does needs some TLC. In the condition it is in now it was put on the market at 105,000.
The neighbor next door sold their house for $120,000 less than a year ago.

It's a row home, with a small back elevated deck, and a front porch. (will be posting pics soon).
It's in a convenient location, there is a small family owned fully stocked store on the corner.
All the neighbors are very friendly, We have lived in the house for over 25 years.

A little about the house.

3 bedroom.
1.5 bathroom.
living room.
dining room.
kitchen.
full size basement (partially finished).
Garage.
Rear driveway.
Washer & Dryer.
Roof is less than 5 years old.
Everything in the house works as it should, ie, furnace, hot water heater, plumbing, electric etc..

There are NO liens, or taxes owed. And the winner will own the house outright, NO MORTGAGE!!!

I'm just now in the process of getting all the details together, and will be creating a Website within the next day or 2.
But heres some of the basics.

Tickets will be $50 each.
There will only be 2200 tickets issued.
The drawing will be done within a week of the last ticket sold.
The person drawing the winning ticket will be a city councilman, representative, police chief, or someone of the like.
If for some reason all 2200 tickets are not bought within 90 days of the first ticket sold, ALL money will be refunded.
I will be hiring a book keeper/accountent to keep track of all tickets sold.
Everyone except my family is permitted to buty a ticket.

Regardless if anyone from PAFOA buys a ticket or not, when the last ticket is sold I will donate $500 to the children of Meleanie Hain

There is a lot of legal shit around doing a raffle like you are attempting to do and a lot of legal shit associated with selling a house. Make sure you have a lawyer sign all the paperwork and read it...

That was not the type of suggestions I was looking for..

But seriously, the house is in NE Philly, in a good area on a good block.. Really not that bad at all. Poeple keep up with their property, go in at a decent hour etc... I have a new house in the Poconos and just have no use for the one in Philly.

What is the property tax on a house in that area? I don't know why people on here hate Philly so much, but I think it's a great city. Good idea with the raffle. I hope you make your money back on it.

I will be talking to my lawyer on Monday to work out all the details. As of right now it's only an "idea" and I am not accepting any money until I have everything finalized, But I am going thru with this idea.
