Your plexi grip panels may be just a convenient replacement, or perhaps something more....
During the "cold war", The CIA contracted manufacture/modification of firearms for ultra concealability as well as other factors, such as being able to see how many rounds remained in the magazine just by sight. Clear plexi panels were used for these purposes.
I noticed a "1957" date stamped on the frame of yours...That would put it in the correct time frame, wouldn't it?

Those plexi panels are really machined nice, too...far better than some bubba would do just to replace the grips. Makes me wonder!

I thought you guys might like to see the a 1955 Brevetto Cal 6.35 with pearl handles and the Seal. Also the original holster. This gun has been cleaned twice a year for the last 33 years hasn’t been fired in that time. The owner, a 2 tour Vietnam Vet gave it to me last year to keep it in my gun safe and keep up the maintenance.

VERY NICE!! That's identical to the one I was cleaning for my father over THanksgiving. Actually, almost identical. His white handle did have the round metallic piece at the top. When I polished his with the Dremel tool it really really cleaned it up and restored a proper shine to it. I still need to buy a new pair of handles for that thing. Your Brev looks great man...

    Thats Galesi 25 auto(6.35mm is
Galesi Arms was an manufacturer formally named Industria Armi Galesi which was founded in 1910.

They began to produce pistols in 1914, following Italy's entry into World War I. The first design was a 6.35mm-blowback design based on the Colt Model 1908vest pocket.

Charles Whitman(sniper that killed 14 people during the shooting of University of Texus) carried a Galesi-Brescia pistol during his rampage, though he is not known to have fired it.

We found it stuffed in a sock in a box. I did some TLC to it, and polished it, when started fishing for information about it. Dad says he always shot it with .25 rounds. The inscriptions say Cal 6.35, which I learned is the mm measurement. On the slide it says Mod.9.
    SO I thought I had a Mod.9 in a .25 cal. Then I read NHUGHESMD's comment in this thread, and he says the Mod.9 wasn't made in a .25.
I don't know what to think now.

Oh by the way... The left side grip is gone.

If anyone has any clarification, I'd LOVE to hear back. Thank you very much

    Echofive,

From the looks of your pics I'm starting to get a little confused also. From the little bit of research I have done the model 9 looked different than what your pictures show. The ones I have seen had a longer barrel and were slightly bigger. Your gun looks like a model 6, but obviously says model 9 right there on the side. I found a website today that gives some pretty good info and some nice pics too. Check it out and keep me up to date on your quest for info.
