concealed vs. open carry
alright guys - here is my opinion:
i think that concealed carry has it advantages and disadvantages and the same for open carry - i think with open carry, some of the upsides are: the gun is easier to get to, it's already a crime deterrent (i've heard more stories of people pulling a gun and deterring crime than actually needing to shoot someone), and one of the best, it allows us to exercise our civil rights.
concealed advantages: no chance of getting hassled or targeted if it's well concealed, you can carry more than one gun without looking like a terrorist, lol and it has an element of surprise in a bad situation..........
that's what i think and i'd be very interested to hear what the rest of you have to say.......... this has been discussed in other threads, but i'd like to see one dedicated to it. even if there is already a thread, it's time for a new one as the PAFOA community grows. try to keep it friendly even though i'm sure there will be huge differences of opinion........but i want to hear all sides..........
this is NOT for whether you think it's right or wrong, as both methods of carry are legal !!Last edited by Punisher; July 15th, 2007 at 02:45 PM.

Re: concealed vs. open carry
It's your gun and your life. Carry how ever you see fit.
I couldn't possibly have opinion for someone else because I could never imagine all of reasons and motive for doing what you do.

Re: concealed vs. open carry
I am in no way opposed to open carry, but for me I choose concealed.
Sadly, it's mainly because of the hassle of explaining it to all those with dumb reactions to it. In addition, there are many place where it is legal to carry, but against someone's "policy". I'll abide by the laws, but to hell with any policy that will jeopardize the safety of me and my family. There are other reasons but these are the first two that pop into my head.
I am not ruling out open carry for me, but right now I do not.

Re: concealed vs. open carry
I do both. it just depends on where I'm going to be. Around my home county in the summer it's usually open carry. My favorite holster right now is a Blade-Tek IWB for my SA XD45. So if it's t-shirt weather it's open carry. Thus far I have had no unfriendly commentary. At the range I have had several ask me if I like my Glock. He he.

This debate has been done to death on the forum. Please continue it in one of the previous threads so we don't end up all over the place.
