Default Kimber Oh Kimber, My Kingdom for a Kimber

Yup, you kids you can stop with the Kimber torture I FINALLY got one (and not the one I ordered BTW)

Was at the Allentown show today and saw this little beauty in the case. She's not new but she is in damn fine shape AND she is one of the Series One guns (that many have told me are far better than the series two).

So let me introduce my new everyday carry:

She is a Custom CDP (5" match grade barrel), yes I know I had wanted a 4" but decided to go all the way. Rich Warner did a complete look over her, broke her down and said she looks pretty damn good. From the serial number he is thinking it is 10-12 years old. It has been shot but not abused from what he could see.

Brought her home, completely stripped her, cleaned every orifice, oiled her up and promptly did my first OC with her to the local grocery store only to get soaked walking back out in a downpour ... oh well another wipe down won't hurt her.

OH and ChamberedRound? YOU SUCK! You bought every stinking round of 45 hollow point right before I got this and when I came looking to Rich for ammo he just said 'sorry'

Truely. A thing of beauty. I have a 4" series one with the officers grips. Yours looks a hell of a lot nicer.

I found both triggers to be terrible to me so the triggers are on a scale to me.. The Glock was a crisper suck and the XD was a more mushy suck. They are in the same family, SR9 (heavy suck), Glock (crisp heavy suck), XD( lighter mushy suck), M&P(heavy mushy suck).

Nope, the night sights are dead so I have to fix them but besides that she will stay stock. I might also order an extra barrel since this one is older ... can't hurt to have an extra one lying around.
