Re: barrel crown work
Jim (at Richland Shooter's) does very good work and his prices are real reasonable. That does lead to a problem though. When your work is good and your prices are good you tend to get a lot of work. I've taken a few things to him and it took pretty long to get them back. When i got them back I was very pleased, but you have to know going in that it may take a while. Now that hunting season is near he's probably even busier with people who decide at the last minute that they want something done to their gun for this season.
What about Jim Heverling? You could throw your gun from your property to his. Doesn't he do work like that?

Re: barrel crown work
If you're thinking of John Null he's the guy Shyda's refers people to as well. He's done work for me in the past and has done it quite well, but he too has a hell of a back log of work.
Talk to Charlie, he has a lathe and now that he's retired he may be able to help you out with it. I don't know how he feels about working on other people's guns but I know he does nice work on his own guns. He makes some of his own parts for those hard to find or impossible to get replacements. A crown job should be an easy thing for someone with his experience.

Re: barrel crown work
i don't recall the name, but he doesn't have a big back log.
this time of the year yes, but most times it's like two weeks or less.
as much as i hang out in there, and have seen people looking for glenn to do work, and as many times as i've heard the name, you would think i would remember it....welll you thought wrong.
most times he reffers people right to him, but a few times he'll get the dude to pick up and then drop off the guns at the shop.it's only metal, we can out think it....
