Re: New Rock
Nah.....Thank you for using me.
Good looking firearm. Don't forget to post a range report after you touch a few off. That is if you actually get to shoot it."Ya only need legs to kick ass baby boy" - Bartender in Feast III

Re: New Rock
RIA are nice pistols. I was going to purchase one, but went with the PT1911 instead. I figured the PT had more custom features to begin with and was around the same price as the RIA.

Re: New Rock
Put 100 rounds through her today. A box of blazer brass 230gr. FMJs and a box of Winchester "personal protection" 230gr JHPs. Fed both types flawlessly, aside from 2 premature slide locks. Both times were after the 6th round, both with FMJ. I plan on taking it out to run another 100 or so rounds through it sometime this week. If the premature slide stop occurs again I'll try another mag or file a small amount off of the slide stop.
I plan on replacing the front sight for something a little lower. It hits about 5" low at 25 yards. Other plans include double diamond checkered rosewood grips and maybe a fancy pair of grips for special occasions. So many options with a 1911 its hard to tell how this one might end up someday.
