    Default Confronted at Hollywood Casino

last night a buddy of mine and i went to the casino to flirt with the bartenders and listen to the band, i lock my pistol in my truck but leave me holster on my belt, so while were there, i see 2 plain state troopers in suits and abunch of security hovering around..
i look around and see that they are not looking at me but are escorting some older guy out that has had too much to drink... after about 2 or 3 minutes i am looking around and i see 2 security guards standing by a pillar and looking my way....

i say to my buddy that they are starring at me and my holster and he looks at me and then them and says its empty whats the problem ?

well about 15 minutes later i get a tap on my shoulder, i turn and there is someone that i would assume was head of security, 5 other security guards and the 2 undercover troopers off in a distance..

mgr: excuse me are you a LEO
    me: no
mgr: do you have a weapon on you?
me: no, why would you ask ?
mgr: well you have a holster on.
me: yeah and its empty, dont you think if i had a gun it would be in the holster ??
    mgr: ummmm
i turned around and looked and saw all the people they had there and started laughing, i said you brought out your whole security force for an empty holster ??? then turned back to the bar and sipped my drink.. the mgr said sorry for the interuption and walked off...

and of course you always get the one guy who thinks he is a bad ass that stood about 30 ft away starring at me for a while, normally it would have bothered me and i would have said something but i guess im getting older and just didnt seem to care so much...

Funny story! It's amazing how scary a holster is. One time, a holster broke free from a belt and killed 30 children in a school. Amazing.

    You should have said:

Yes I have the brand new invisible Glock that was just released this week, haven't you seen one yet?

You could have saved yourself the interaction with the security staff if you would have taken off the holster. Personally, I hate being disturbed by anyone while sipping Cognac or a fine wheat beer, but that is me.

I also would never want it to appear that I had a firearm on me when indeed I did not, it is a bit like carrying an unloaded weapon. Bu then again, that is me. This reminds me of an old Karate anecdote: A well trained fighter has a good chance at winning a fight. A master will win just about every fight. A grand master will never have to fight.

As for the security staff staring at you, I would not sweat it, they are doing their job. You made yourself a spectacle and they responded in a professional and courteous fashion.

Why don't you dial back the condescension a little?

On a lighter note, I'm pretty sure 4XLT draws stares pretty much everywhere he goes. Anyone seen the size of the man? He's like a friggin' giant!

Wow, I guess the eastern boarders of PA sees the 2a as a way of making a spectacle of ones self. I don't even understand why one would unholster but that's another issue.

What's wrong with you, why would anyone want to carry an unloaded holster to a bar? Think of the children... [again... oozing with sarcasm]

This is the casino by the Horse Track? If so, was Ashley working last night? She is one of the new bartenders there. She is a good friend of mine. She used to tend bar at the Ft Indiantown Gap NCO club.
