I'm surprised DHS didn't scramble jets because the balloon was a threat to national security.

I heard a quote from the kid saying "We did it for the show" whatever that means. Sounds like a hoax to me.

Looks like daddy is an attention whore. I'll bet it was his idea.

    Cool balloon though.

Okay, so maybe I am mean, but I sort of wished the kid was in the balloon and it crashed landed on a sharp rock (this is considering the trouble the kids put everyone through).

Nah, that's not mean. I was actually secretly hoping they'd scramble F16s and blow him out of the sky.

Not only would it have been entertaining now, it'd be entertaining 50 years from now when all the conspiracy theorists come out and claim it was an ACTUAL UFO and the balloon story was just an elaborate cover up.

Dad was on wife swap two times and ripped the woman new assholes each time. Takes the kids storm chasing when he goes. With what the kid said the local LEO's are looking at charges. Should make them pay for the search effort at least

...he also believes in UFOs and has taken acting lessons along with his wife.

The footage of the accidental baloon release looks like a high school theater club skit gone wrong. He pulls a cord that releases the balloon, but then yells at the wife for not having the teathers tied down....even though you can clearly see they aren't tied down. really bad acting.

Little kids like that are bad liars. Once the cops get him alone they'll get what they want and hopefully press charges.

If that thing flew over my house it would have 100 holes in it and 20 of them would be burning (yes I know helium is not flammable).

"I tolds ya dey was cummin back four me!!!"
