The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

One of the biggest causes of death during hunting is heart attacks. A lot of people aren't in prime condition, then add exertion, excitement, etc..

Lemme guess.....Hunter wasn't wearing a harness and swan dived out of his treestand! Most likely scenario as most bowhunters hunt from treestands.

Ok, just read the updated story. No, he wasn't wearing a harness. However, the article says the 75 year old man fell 15 feet from his stand. To be honest, you really need to know your limitations. I hunt with a lot of guys that are a bit older than I am, but I don't know a single 75 year old that will get up in a 15 foot stand. Maybe it's just the hunters I know.

its actually pretty easy to climb in modern ladder stands and climbers. The days of hugging a tree are long past :P

not wearing a harness is fucking retarded... you would think with him getting to 75 he would know well enough to not be stupid...but I guess not.

and yes anyone who doesn't wear a harness is fucking retarded and I'll tell it to your face.

My theory for tree stand height is that the stand should be placed exactly one half of the distance you are willing to fall. while asleep.

Exactly why I'm a ground hunter.
