    Default compact handgun

I'll be looking to buy something small..I'm open to all calibers

I've had my eye on the KT P11 (9mm)

Anyone have one? Just looking for something to throw in my pocket..$200-$300 dollar range.

My dad is also looking for something small..preferably a .380

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

The 9mm Makarov pistols are nice. Hungarian PA-63 is small and thin. Not loosing much with the 9x18 vs 9x19.

    There's also a Kahr P380. http://kahr.com/PA-1_380_p.html

    Kahrs aren't cheap, though.

Keltec makes a great 2-3 hundred dollar pocket gun. The one that suits you best will depend on the grip and use. I use a P3AT as my always gun but only becasue I also have a Glock26 as a main CCW pistol. If not I would probably go with a P11 although a PF9 has a nicer trigger.

One thing to keep in mind is the light weight guns like the P-11 are a bit snappier when fired. I carry a P-11 daily, and before I got it I carried a Star Firestar M-43. The two guns are pretty close in size but the KT is about half the weight. The girlfriend loves the Star, but doesn't like the recoil from the KT.
I compared Kel-Tecs P-11 and PF-9 and opted for the P-11 due to the bigger grip, and even with that I packed out the grip with a slip on.

i just spoke with a dealer and he said that the P11 has bad trigger slap and that the PF9 would be a better choice but they are nearly impossible to get?

    P11 that bad?

Here is a good deal for the money. You can find these for around $379.00 less the 50 dollar rebate. $329.00 (plus your tax)
S&W Sigma in 9mm, model SW9VE It's a good carry piece. or you can get two extra mags instead.

Heavy long trigger pull, but never got bothered too much by trigger slap.
It's not a gun you would want to shoot all day, but a mag or two from time to time to stay proficient for a carry piece, it's not bad. There's got to be somebody near you that would let you put a few rounds through a P-11, PF-9 or both.
